TCSO Detectives Nab Armed Robbery and Stabbing Suspect in Cutler
March 27, 2024 - Tulare County Sheriff's Office officials report that following the stabbing at Ledbetter Park on Saturday, Detectives identified 29-year-old Joel Ortega, Jr., of Cutler as the stabbing suspect.
At around 11:00 a.m. Monday, Detectives searched the Cutler/Orosi area and located the suspect in his vehicle. They arrested Ortega, Jr., without incident and he was booked at the Adult Pre-Trial Facility on charges of Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
The 22-year-old male victim has been released from the hospital.
