April 18, 2024 - Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report Detectives assigned to the Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC) have arrested two people for a shooting in Del Rey. The suspects, both males, are a juvenile and a young adult. They have been booked into juvenile hall and the Fresno County Jail, respectively.

Shortly after 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16th, Fresno County deputies responded to a report of shots fired on the 5600 block of S. Oak Lane in Del Rey. Deputies found a young man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno where doctors treated and stabilized his injuries.

A preliminary investigation shows two people approached a man outside of a home and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene. MAGEC detectives took over the investigation. They later identified two people involved and arrested them. This is being considered a gang related shooting and remains an ongoing investigation.
