Soroptimist International of Mariposa is looking for homes to include in its annual Christmas Home Tour. The Soroptimists are busily planning a tour combining a mix of traditional, contemporary, and very unique homes, in addition to bed and breakfasts and local businesses. While new, contemporary and remodeled homes, and those with innovative designs, creative ideas, and stunning views are always fun, the tour is about the holiday spirit, and the willingness of people to open their homes for a good cause. All proceeds will benefit Soroptimist International of Mariposa.
Soroptimist would appreciate hearing from anyone who might like to show-off and add his or her home to this year’s tour. Homeowners or volunteers with a desire to join in the fun and share the holidays with others are asked to contact Soroptimist Pat Wight by Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at (209) 742-7780. Soroptimist can provide assistance in the planning, decorating and the hosting of your home. The tour will take place in December. Tickets will be available in early November.
Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. In addition to participating in international projects, the Mariposa Club achieves this mission locally by giving scholarships to graduating seniors, presenting monetary awards to women that are the heads of their households seeking further education, sponsoring The Elegant Dress Closet, and donating funds to organizations such as Manna House, a non-profit organization that provides emergency food to all in need.
