The Mother Lode Jewish Community (MLJC) will be holding its annual Chanukah Party on the evening of Thursday, December 29th in Murphys, CA. This is a casual, fun evening for families and adults of all ages. If you wish to attend, please call ahead for directions and to reserve your place, as space is limited. There is no charge, but we ask everyone to bring a potluck dish to share. Volunteers are also needed to help set up and clean up. You are also welcome to bring a menorah if you would like to light your own candles. The MLJC’s mission is to provide opportunities and events that nurture a vibrant and enduring Jewish identity, culture and community in the Mother Lode, drawing members from Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne and Mariposa Counties. Guests and new members are always welcome. The activity calendar includes monthly gatherings, primarily in the Murphys/Copperopolis and Jamestown/Sonora areas.
