all hazard reduction burning will require a CAL FIRE burn permits in Mariposa and Madera Counties. CAL FIRE burn permits are available online only by visiting burnpermit.fire.ca.gov.

Property owners conducting hazard reduction burning are responsible for checking the burn day status.
Citations will be issued for burning outside permit parameters.
Burning is limited to grasses, brush, down trees and limbs and dead, dry vegetation.
Residents burning outside permit parameters could be cited.
