November 20, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that since launching in 2019, the Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force has strengthened its fight against trafficking through two federal grants totaling $1.55M — supporting victim-centered investigations, proactive enforcement, and expanded services for survivors.

Over the past six years, the task force has:

  • 399 cases investigated
  • 99 suspects arrested
  • 408 potential victims identified
  • 804 trainings & community awareness events

Our mission remains clear: rescue victims, hold traffickers accountable, and protect our community through collaboration and trauma-informed care.
