November 20, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that since launching in 2019, the Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force has strengthened its fight against trafficking through two federal grants totaling $1.55M — supporting victim-centered investigations, proactive enforcement, and expanded services for survivors.
Over the past six years, the task force has:
- 399 cases investigated
- 99 suspects arrested
- 408 potential victims identified
- 804 trainings & community awareness events
