Homicide Investigation 

March 24, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Friday, March 20, 2026, at approximately 11:16 p.m., Southwest Policing District officers responded to Sun Stereo Warehouse at 736 Fulton Street regarding a shooting victim. Officers located 38-year-old, Meharie Kidane suffering from gunshot wounds and rendered medical aid.  Victim Kidane was transported by EMS to the hospital.  Despite life-saving measures, Victim Kidane was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide Detectives have found that several individuals were at the location for a gathering and were escorted outside the venue following an altercation inside.  The investigation is ongoing and detectives are trying to determine what led to the shooting.  Detectives seek additional witnesses who may have information about the incident.
