September 30, 2022 - There are five people running for two seats on the Mariposa County Unified School District Board of Directors, including myself as a candidate for District 3 and Robert Hill for District 1. At this time, I wholeheartedly support and endorse Robert Hill for the District 1 Trustee position.

Robert Hill's background and training make him uniquely qualified to serve on the School Board. His dedication to adhering to a strong code of ethics, integrity, and leading by example will be an asset to the School Board. As Robert Hill stated: “Integrity is the quality of having strong ethical or moral principles and following them at all times, no matter who's watching. A person with integrity acts with honesty, honor, and truthfulness.”

Although Robert Hill's background, training, and integrity are clear reasons to support him as the best candidate for School Board, District 1, what convinced me to publicly endorse him is his dedication to traditional family values. The importance of this cannot be overstated. There are state guidelines which a School District must follow, but our local board does have some leeway within that framework to make important decisions which will shape and influence the direction of our children’s education. For example, the Board has the ability to decide whether the District curriculum will include teaching sex education to our children in Elementary School, or waiting until Middle School. As the mother of three children in the Mariposa County Unified School District, I feel it is imperative we have school board members who are focused on strengthening our focus on teaching the basics and working with parents to make sure we’re not overstepping a parent’s core beliefs or usurping their right to parent.

I believe communication is key, and Robert Hill will be the parents’ voice in Districts 1. Please join me in voting for Robert Hill, Mariposa School Board, District 1.
