October 22, 2022 - I am writing this letter of support and recommendation of Bob Morse for the Mariposa School Board.  I worked with Bob for over five years, and we worked together on several projects but one that stands out in my mind is securing the building and operation of the Cathey’s Valley Preschool building and playground as part of the School Readiness grant with California First 5 and the Mariposa County First 5 Commission.  He was outstanding at working with us—meeting deadlines, securing the necessary equipment/building, and keeping both the Mariposa First 5 Commission and myself informed.

I found Bob to be knowledgeable about building codes, the workings of the school district and the procedure for maintenance projects and operations.  If he needed to do research, he did it and if he needed to secure additional requirements, he was on it.  He not only was knowledgeable, but positive and eager to work with you on any project that would benefit children.  I appreciated his conscientiousness, efficiency, and communication skills—he always kept me in the loop. I also want to highlight that throughout any project for First 5, Bob was positive and worked tirelessly to make facilities and programs safe, inviting and well equipped for children and families.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter in support of Bob.  As the First 5 Commission director for 18 years, our accomplishment of a preschool in Catheys Valley was one of the highlights of my tenure in Mariposa.
