October 24, 2018 - Does your child want to learn more about animals, citizenship, leadership, shooting sports and more? Well sign them up for the Mariposa County 4-H Youth Development Program.
Enrollment deadline dates are Thursday, November 1 for 4-H re-enrollments and Saturday, December 15 for new enrollments. Youth ages 5-19 can join!
The new 2018-19 Mariposa County 4-H program year started October 1. There are 4-H clubs around the county to choose from: Bootjack 49ers, Triangle (Woodland School area), Catheys Valley (held at McCay Hall), Clover Pioneers (town), Hornitos, Don Pedro Rattlers and new this year the Greeley Hill-Coulterville 4-H Club. Some projects this year are Junior Master Gardeners, livestock projects, shooting sports-rifle and shot gun, arts and crafts, rocketry, food & nutrition, citizenship, sewing, and more. Besides club and project meetings, there are conferences and camps for youth & adults to participate in.
If your child or you are interested, please contact the UCCE office at (209) 966-4829, or drop by the office at 5009 Fairgrounds Rd. Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Office is closed for lunch from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
4-H enrollment deadline for NEW members is Saturday, December 15. Enrollment fees are $54 for youth and $21 for adult leaders.
