May Mariposa Library Book Sale!
March 29, 2019 - The Friends of the Library’s semi-annual book sale is once again happening the first weekend in May. The sale starts at 1:00 p.m. (closing at 6 p.m.) on Thursday, May 2nd. On Friday, May 3rd, the sale is from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The book sale will continue Saturday, May 4th, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the last day of the sale on Sunday, May 5th, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The sale is open to the public, and all books in the sale are priced at $1. However, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the sale, Friends of the Library members only will be able to buy one book and get two books free…that’s three books for a dollar. Memberships are available at the door, and an individual the membership is only $5. Sunday is “Bag Sunday”, anyone can bring a bag and fill it for just $5. This great book sale does not apply to books from the Books Galore.
This semi-annual sale offers a great selection of fiction, non-fiction, and reference books, including some of the latest best sellers, children’s, do-it-yourself, instructional, historical, hobby, cooking, business, and many more. Video and audio media are also available. All sale books are priced for only $1.
You can also take the opportunity to browse the latest and most popular hardback books from the Books Galore located in the Library meeting room. Books Galore selections are priced at a fraction of their original cost, and your favorite author’s most recent book can almost always be found.
Just a reminder, book donations to the Friend’s book sale will be not taken two weeks prior to or during the sale.
