September 24, 2019 - Oakhurst, CA. – Sierra Art Trails celebrates their 17th year Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th daily from 10:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Visitors can purchase a guide for $20 (includes 2 guests) then stop by various studios and business venues throughout the Sierra Foothills. The books showcasing artists work and their locations may be purchased at Stellar Gallery: 40982 CA-41 #1, Oakhurst, CA 93644, and many other locations throughout Oakhurst, Fresno and more. “The preview show at Stellar Gallery is a great way to kick off Art Trails and gives people a chance to see a piece from each artist and select their favorites to plan their journey” said Jon Bock, founding director of Sierra Art Trails. “It is our goal to have a wide variety of art for everyone to enjoy”.
Sierra Art Trails gives art enthusiasts the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to purchase works directly from the people who create them. The show takes place in homes, studios, galleries, and businesses in more than a dozen communities in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties. The show features artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, glass, and more!
“I’ve been going for several years and there is so much to see. Whether you’re an artist, collector or enthusiast it’s a great time,” said Teresa Sharp. “This is my first year being a part of it, and I’m so honored to be accepted and looking forward to participating.”
There are over 90 artists throughout the foothills. The book is broken into locations for ease of planning as well as exploring artistic mediums and styles.
