Do you need to dispose of your old or broken strings of Christmas lights? Please bring them to the Mariposa County Recycling Center and they’ll be happy to recycle them for you.

Wires will be recycled for their metal content. Recycling also helps prevent tangling in the sorting equipment, reduces waste entering the landfill and saves you money by reducing the amount of trash you have to pay to dispose of.

The Mariposa County Recycling Center is located at: 5593 Hwy 49N, Mariposa.

Open: Tuesday - Saturday (8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)
Closed: Sunday - Monday & Major Holidays

You can also recycle your Christmas tree starting Saturday, December 26, 2015 through Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Please remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and nails from your tree and bring it to the Mariposa County Landfill, Compost Facility & Recycling Center for FREE disposal.

*This FREE tree disposal is available for all Mariposa County residents.
