Pianist John Nilsen in Concert
July 12, 2024 – John Nilsen, a well-known pianist from Seattle, will be playing at the Mariposa United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 3 at 4:00 P.M. 
The public is welcome to attend. Donations at the door will go to the guest artist. In addition to playing the piano, Nilsen is a guitarist, composer, lyricist, and vocalist.
Nilsen's talent will also be featured in the Sunday, August 4 worship experience at 9:30 A.M. at the Mariposa United Methodist Church. All are invited to attend.
Nilsen graduated from Southern Oregon College, now Southern Oregon University, and received its prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award in recognition of his achievements and leadership in the field of the performing arts. He has performed in all 50 states and on four continents. He is known for combining elements of classical, folk and jazz and he often performs with the John Nilsen Trio. CDs of his music will be available at both events.
The Mariposa United Methodist Church is located at 4991 6th Street, in downtown Mariposa.
