October 22, 2021 - Keyes, CA - Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) served a search warrant in the 5100 block of Washington Road just outside of Keyes this morning.  

On Thursday, October 21, 2021, at about 7:30 A.M., tactical teams converged upon a residence which had been subject to an ongoing and active illegal narcotics operation.  Through the course of their search and further investigation, they located over 7,000 pounds of processed marijuana.  

Attached you will find a few still images depicting how the marijuana was packaged for shipment and delivery.  The total estimated street value of everything seized exceeds $7 million.  No physical arrests were made. 

Our department is committed to eliminating what has become a lucrative black market for illicit marijuana cultivation.  The likelihood of violence, environmental contamination, public health hazards and other neighborhood dangers are significant.
