Attempted Murder and Robbery Suspects Arrested 

March 22, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 8:12 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a robbery call for service in the 500 block of West 4th Street, Perris. Upon deputies’ arrival, they located a victim who had been robbed at gunpoint and shot at by suspects during the commission of the robbery.

The Perris Sheriff’s Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) and Perris Sheriff’s Station Investigators assumed the investigation. Investigators obtained information regarding the suspects’ location and, with the assistance of deputies from the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB), one suspect was arrested on March 19, 2024. That suspect was identified as Ethan Morris, a 22-year-old from Perris. On March 20, 2024, RBST, Perris Station Investigators, Perris Special Enforcement Team (SET), and SEB served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of 3rd Street, Perris. The second suspect, identified as Daniel Gonzalez, 21-year-old from Perris, was arrested. During the search of the residence, items of evidentiary value were located along with three firearms.

Ethan Morris was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for robbery. Daniel Gonzalez was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted homicide, robbery, being a felon in possession of firearms, and parole violation.
