April 15, 2024 - Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 8:00 am, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a business in the rcsd415.218000 block of Collier Avenue, Lake Elsinore, for a reported commercial robbery.

The suspect placed numerous items in his waistband and exited the store without paying. The suspect was known to employees from previous thefts. When contacted by employees, the suspect threatened them with a large tool.

Deputies and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement K9 team quickly arrived and located the suspect, who had the stolen items in his possession. The suspect was identified as Stanford Stringer, a 33-year-old from Lake Elsinore. Stringer was taken into custody without incident and transported to Cois Byrd Detention Center and booked for robbery, violation of probation, and additional outstanding felony arrest warrants.
