Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision
October 30, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 8:18 P.M., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to Meridian Street, south of Beringer Drive, in the city of San Jacinto, regarding a hit-and-run traffic collision involving a pedestrian. Deputies arrived and located a female on the side of the road, with several subjects providing medical aid. The female was transported to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition. The vehicle that struck the female fled the scene after the collision and was not located.
A preliminary investigation revealed the female was walking across the residential roadway when she was struck by a dark colored SUV. The vehicle failed to stop and fled the collision scene southbound on Meridian Street. The vehicle was described as a compact, dark colored box style SUV. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available.
