October 30, 2024 – Plumas County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 20, 2024, Plumas County deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Pioneer Road in Quincy, leading to significant drug-related arrests.
During the stop, deputies discovered that the driver was in possession of an expandable baton, which is illegal in California. A subsequent investigation and search revealed a significant amount of narcotics, including:
94.24 gross grams of methamphetamine
0.39 gross grams of fentanyl
14 methamphetamine pipes with residue
7 foil balls (some containing usable fentanyl)
A container of liquid methadone
$605 in currency and multiple baggies for narcotic packaging
The individuals arrested are:
(Driver) Randall Dean Warren, age 67 of Rolinda, CA Charges: 11378 HS – Possession of a controlled substance for sale, 11379 HS – Transportation of a controlled substance, 11364 HS – Possession of drug paraphernalia, 22210 PC – Possession of an illegal weapon.
(Passenger) Rachel M. Santos, age 37 of Sacramento, CA: Charges: 11350 HS – Possession of a controlled substance, 11379 HS – Transportation of a controlled substance, 11350 HS – Possession of a controlled substance, and 11378 HS - Possession of a controlled substance for sale
Both were taken into custody without incident.
