Update: Homicide in Lemon Grove
November 13, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on March 18, 2023, just before 10:00 p.m., deputies responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 2800 block of Lemon Grove Avenue. Deputies arrived in the area and located 39-year-old Gregory Moore, unconscious in a vehicle at the intersection of Lemon Grove Ave. and San Miguel Ave.
As deputies were taking Moore out of the vehicle, they noticed he had gunshot wounds to his left upper leg and lower torso. Deputies applied a tourniquet to Moore's leg as paramedics arrived. Paramedics transported Moore to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injures.
Three suspects in the case have already been arrested. On Monday, November 7, 2024, the remaining suspect, 44-year-old Daniel Ethridge, was arrested in St. Paul, Minnesota for theft charges and his arrest warrant for the homicide of Moore. Sheriff's Detectives are coordinating with the San Diego and St. Paul DA's Office to bring Ethridge back to San Diego.
