Shooting in Unincorporated El Cajon 

November 27, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that the Alpine Sheriff's Station wants the public's help to identify and find the suspect in a shooting that sent a man to the hospital. 

On Tuesday, November 26, just after 2:00 p.m., the Sheriff's Communications Center received calls about a shooting near the 14700 block of Quail Haven Lane in an unincorporated area of El Cajon.

When Sheriff's Deputies arrived, they found a man who had been wounded in the shooting. They immediately began rendering medical assistance until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He is expected to survive following emergency surgery. 

At this time, detectives from the Alpine Sheriff's Station have not identified a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
