K-9 Riva Strikes Again!! 

March 19, 2025 – CHP Northern Division officials report that on March 18, 2025, our Northern Division K9 Officer, and his partner “Riva,” conducted an enforcement stop on a passenger vehicle. After the officer noticed indicators of criminal activity, K9 “Riva” conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of the odor of narcotics. 

A subsequent probable cause search revealed a sophisticated floor compartment, which contained approximately 24 pounds of suspected cocaine. Thank you to our officers and Riva for getting dangerous drugs off the streets and making the highways safer for all.
