April 29, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southwest Division Sexual Assault Investigations Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman on an MTA bus and are attempting to locate any additional victims.

On April 12, 2025, around 9:52 p.m., a 33-year-old female victim was on an MTA bus in the area of Sunset Boulevard and Vermont Avenue. The suspect, described as a male, Hispanic, between 19 and 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a white T-shirt with a soccer logo for "Qatar Airways", dark pants, and carrying a dark backpack, sat down beside the victim. The suspect began a conversation with the victim before brandishing a knife and demanding money from her. When the victim did not have any money to give the suspect, he sexually assaulted her for several minutes. When the bus stopped at the southeast corner of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Figueroa Street, the suspect exited the bus and fled on foot southbound toward 40th Place.

Detectives are releasing the suspect’s photos in an attempt to identify him and believe there are additional victims of unreported sexual assaults.
