September 26, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on September 3, 2025, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department discovered an inmate at the High Desert Detention Center (HDDC), Alfred Bojorquez, conspired to smuggle drugs into the jail with two other males, identified as William Diaz and Anthony Lopez.

Investigators conducted a thorough investigation which led to a search warrant that was served on September 5, 2025, at a residence in Apple Valley where various controlled substances and paraphernalia were confiscated.

On September 10, 2025, William Diaz was arrested for his warrant related to the conspiracy case. 

On September 24, 2025, Anthony Lopez was arrested for his warrant related to the conspiracy case. A subsequent search warrant was served at a residence in Apple Valley. During booking, Lopez attempted to smuggle narcotics into HDDC but investigators located it before he was housed. 

Bojorquez was supplementally booked and charged with conspiracy to smuggle drugs into a secure jail facility.
