January 26, 2026 – Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at approximately 2:30 A.M., North Patrol Deputies attempted to stop Steven Daniel Gonzales (32) near Walerga Road and Old Dairy Drive in Antelope, after he ran a red light. Instead of pulling over, he led Deputies on a high-speed pursuit.

The pursuit ended when Gonzales crashed into a parked vehicle, causing significant property damage. After exiting the vehicle, he tossed a White Claw into the street and displayed clear signs of intoxication.

A records check revealed multiple misdemeanor warrants related to other DUI offenses. Gonzales was taken into custody without incident and he was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.
