Major Weapons & Narcotics Seizure in Yuba City
March 7, 2026 – Yuba County Sheriff's Office officials report that on February 24, 2026, Agents with the Yuba-Sutter Narcotic and Gang Task Force (NET-5), with the assistance of the Yuba City Police Department and the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant in the 1200 block of Manchester Way in Yuba City targeting 43-year-old Rajdep Chima of Yuba City.
The warrant was issued in connection with illegal firearms, explosives, and controlled substances.
At the conclusion of the search, agents seized:
- 44 total firearms
21 illegal firearms, including:
- 1 stolen firearm
- 1 machine gun
- 10 unserialized firearms
23 firearms secured for safekeeping
- 12 suppressors (1 factory-made, 11 homemade)
- 34 high-capacity magazines
- Numerous dangerous fireworks
- Digital scale
Controlled substances seized included:
- 7 Vicodin pills
- 16 Alprazolam pills
- 32 Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine pills
- 0.16 grams DMT
- 0.75 grams cocaine
- 46.9 grams marijuana
Chima was arrested on multiple felony charges related to illegal firearms, controlled substances, suppressors, dangerous fireworks, possession of a machine gun, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of unserialized firearms. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail and the investigation was forwarded to the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
This case reflects the continued collaborative efforts of NET-5 and our local law enforcement partners to remove illegal weapons and dangerous drugs from our community.
