Homicide Investigation 

March 16, 2026 – Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials report that at approximately 12:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a call near the 4400 block of Auburn Blvd. regarding an individual who had possibly been shot. Upon arrival, deputies located a male and female who had been struck by gunfire while inside a vehicle. Deputies provided medical aid to both individuals while awaiting Fire personnel.

Upon their arrival, the male was rushed to a local area hospital. The female was pronounced deceased. Numerous potential witnesses were on scene as well as CSI and Homicide Investigators. There is no suspect information at this time.
