$50,000 Reward Offered in the Murder of Juan Cuevas in Koreatown
March 16, 2026 – Korea Town, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Robbery-Homicide Division, West Bureau Section, is asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of Juan Cuevas. The City of Los Angeles is offering a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for his death.
On Wednesday, January 9, 2019, around 10:23 p.m., Juan Cuevas was standing in front of a driveway on the 4700 block of Beverly Boulevard when a dark colored Honda Accord stopped in front of him. A male suspect wearing dark clothing exited the passenger side of the vehicle, approached Cuevas, and shot him. The suspect then fled on foot and was later seen on video entering the same Honda Accord.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported Cuevas to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives are continuing their investigation.
