Big Bust
April 22, 2026 – Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office officials report that an organized retail theft crew tied to nearly 100 incidents at stores across Northern California and parts of Nevada has been arrested. After searches at several San Jose properties last week, our Sheriff’s Office High Impact Team recovered more than $83,000 in stolen merchandise from The Home Depot, TJ Maxx, and Burlington. Detectives found bags filled with new clothing and containers packed with stolen tools. Four suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges including retail theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy.

Emerson Perez, 24
Isaac Perez, 24
Teodulo Aguirre, 61
Sergio Rodriguez, 30
Stolen items were being resold at flea markets in San Jose and Oakland.
Total loss to retailers – more than $100,000
