April 22, 2026 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on March 19, 2026,
Christina Veronica Alvarez appeared in San Bernardino County Superior Court, Rancho Cucamonga Division, and entered a plea of no contest to one count of PC 273a(a) Felony Child Abuse Likely to Cause Great Bodily Harm, and admitted to the associated enhancement under PC 12022.95 for willful harm or injury resulting in death.
On April 20, 2026, Alvarez again appeared in the Rancho Cucamonga Division of the San Bernardino County Superior Court before the Honorable Judge M. Dest and was sentenced to six years in state prison.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department acknowledges the resolution of this case and extends its continued support to the victim’s family.
