Dispatch received a call from a reporting party after they saw a crashed vehicle on 5th Avenue, north of Bear Valley Road. The caller reported an unconscious male subject was inside a blue Chevy truck. Deputies arrived and found the male, later identified as Carl Adrienne Moreno, suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical aid responded and pronounced Moreno deceased. The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. A suspect has not been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
