Fatal Traffic Collision 

May 24, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 22, 2026, at 9:34 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Spring Street and Library Street, Lake Elsinore, regarding a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a collision involving a single vehicle, with the driver suffering from significant injuries. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the driver succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made. The deceased driver’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
