Search Warrants and Arrest in Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) Case
May 30, 2026 – Monterey County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 28, 2026, Monterey County Sheriff’s
Detectives, working in the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, served search warrants at three locations across Monterey County.
During the service of the search warrant, multiple phones, laptops, and electronic storage devices were seized. Detectives located images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) at all three locations.
“The exploitation of children is among the most serious crimes we investigate,” said Sheriff Tina Nieto. “Personally, I find it reprehensible that anyone would support the victimization of our most vulnerable community members, especially our children, by possessing this type of material. I am proud of the work of our Detectives and ICAC partners, who work tirelessly to identify offenders, protect victims, and ensure those responsible are brough before the justice system.”
The suspect, 70-year-old Noel Patrick McNamee of Carmel, was arrested by Detectives and booked into the Monterey County Jail on the following charges:
- • 311.11 (a) PC – Possession of Child Sexual Assault Material
- • 311.11 (c) PC – Possession of a Large Quantity of Child Sexual Assault Material
If you have any information that may aid in the investigation of this case, or have knowledge of ongoing child sexual abuse, you are encouraged to contact Detective Rodrigo Lopez at 831-755-3762 or Detective Sergeant Nicholas Kennedy at 831-755-3773.
