Fatal Traffic Collision
June 15, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 5:35 a.m.,
deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection of Perris Boulevard and San Michele Road regarding a major injury traffic collision involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, deputies located both vehicles with significant damage. One of the drivers was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the passenger was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other involved vehicle was also transported to a local hospital in critical condition, and the passengers were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The deceased driver was later identified as Diana Diaz, a 37-year-old resident of Perris. It is unknown at this time if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in the collision. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no further details will be released at this time.
