Juvenile Arrested Following Probation Search 

June 16, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on Thursday June 4th, B swing shift officers conducted a probation search of a residence belonging to a juvenile who is currently on Sutter County Probation for weapons violations. When Officers arrived at the residence, the juvenile attempted to flee by jumping out of a rear window. Officers quickly detained the juvenile without further incident.

During the probation search, officers located what initially appeared to be a short-barreled rifle equipped with a drum magazine. Further investigation revealed the firearm to be a Glock 19 handgun fitted with a conversion kit and equipped with a high-capacity drum magazine.

The juvenile was subsequently booked into Yuba-Sutter Juvenile Hall on charges of resisting or delaying a peace officer, possession of a large-capacity magazine, and possession of a firearm by a minor.
