June 19, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that following a two-month investigation conducted by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), with the assistance of the Yuba City Police Department, Marysville Police Department, and Sacramento Police Department, served five search warrants on June 11, 2026, at locations in Sutter County, Marysville, and Sacramento.

The investigation centered around 54-year-old Shane Mosley of Yuba City, who was suspected of trafficking illegal narcotics and possessing firearms and was on active PRCS Probation out of Sacramento County.

During the execution of the search warrants, investigators located and seized approximately 324.98 grams of methamphetamine, 274 suspected counterfeit fentanyl pills, powdered fentanyl, digital scales, narcotics packaging materials, pill manufacturing items, several thousand rounds of ammunition, and seven firearms, two of which were determined to be stolen.

As a result of the investigation, eight individuals were arrested for various narcotics and weapons-related offenses.

Shane Mosley was arrested in the area of Woodbridge Avenue and Wilbur Avenue in Yuba City and was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the following alleged charges:

  • Possession of methamphetamine for sale (HS 11378)
  • Felon in possession of a firearm (PC 29800(a)(1))
  • Possession of an assault weapon (PC 30605(a))
  • Prohibited person in possession of ammunition (PC 30305(a)(1))
  • Violation of Post Release Community Supervision (PC 3455(a)(4))
  • Receiving stolen property (PC 496(a))
  • Bringing contraband into a custodial facility (PC 4573)
