LASD Palmdale Station Investigators Arrest Attempt Murder Suspect 

June 27, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials report that on Monday, June 22, 2026, deputies assigned to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of 6th Street East and East Avenue Q-12, in the City of Palmdale, regarding a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision.

Footage showed a white Toyota Corolla speeding southbound, crossing into oncoming lanes, and deliberately steering toward a skateboarder near the east curb. The driver made no attempt to brake, struck the victim, hit the curb, and fled without rendering aid. The victim hit the vehicle’s windshield.

Based on the video, statements, and evidence, investigators determined the act was an intentional assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect is in custody and charged with attempted murder. The victim remains in critical condition. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.

Their attention to detail, persistence, and teamwork led to the identification and apprehension of a wanted suspect, reflecting the high level of dedication our personnel bring to serving and protecting the community every day” said Palmdale Sheriff’s Station - Captain Joshua Bardon.
