July 4, 2026 – Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Monday, July 6, 2020, at approximately 11:03 p.m., 20-year-old Edgar Vasquez was shot while driving near his home at the intersection of East 135th Street and Avalon Boulevard in Los Angeles. He suffered critical injuries and passed away the following day.

Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau have identified the vehicles pictured above as being involved in the incident. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for Edgar Vasquez's murder.
