July 10, 2026 – Imperial County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at approximately 6:45 A.M., deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office - Holtville station responded to the report of a residential burglary in the 800 block of Elm Street in Holtville, California. Upon initial investigation it was determined that several items, including money, were taken from the residence.
Holtville Patrol Deputies immediately initiated an investigation. During the investigation several leads were developed, ultimately leading to the identity of the suspect. On Monday, July 6, 2026, the suspect was identified as 26-year-old, Eric Vizcarra, a resident of Holtville.
Deputies contacted Vizcarra at his residence, where several items from the burglary were recovered, including money. Vizcarra was arrested and booked into the Imperial County Jail for being in violation of 459 P.C. – Burglary and a probation violation. He is being held without bail due to the charges.
A criminal complaint will be submitted with the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office for review and consideration for charges and prosecution.
