Fatal Traffic Collision 

August 6, 2026 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on August 5, 2026, at approximately 4:23 A.M. (0423 hours), Thousand Oaks patrol deputies responded to the area of Westlake Boulevard north of Cascade Avenue, in reference to an injury traffic collision. The initial investigation determined a Cobalt Security Services vehicle was traveling northbound on Westlake Boulevard when it drove onto the center median and collided with a tree.

Ventura County Fire Paramedics and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene and performed life saving measures on the driver. The driver was transported to Los Robles Regional Medical Center. Shortly after his arrival, he was pronounced deceased.
