Narcotics and Firearm Arrest – Lemon Grove 

September 13, 2026 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that detectives and Lemon Grove COPPS Deputies serving a search warrant at a Lemon Grove business uncovered a firearm and large quantities of narcotics as part of a follow up into possible firearms possession by a convicted felon.

On September 10, 2026, at 11:20 a.m., Detectives served a search warrant in the 2700 block of Lemon Grove Avenue, Lemon Grove. Detectives were investigating information that a convicted felon may have access to firearms. The convicted felon was detained during the warrant service but was ultimately released. A firearm connected to the convicted felon was not located.

During the search, Detectives seized 2.12 pounds of marijuana, 1.34 pounds of cocaine, 93.4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and 620 amphetamine pills. Detectives also located a 9mm handgun inside the business, which operates as a barber shop and recording studio and is owned by Roy Kirkpatrick (37). The convicted felon and Kirkpatrick are half-brothers.

Kirkpatrick was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the San Diego Central Jail for violations of 11370.1(a) HS (possession of a controlled substance while armed), 11351 HS (possession of a controlled substance for sale), and 11378 HS (possession of a controlled substance for sale).
