Fatal Traffic Collision
September 14, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Saturday, September 13, 2026, at 12:29
a.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of East Ramona Expressway and Evans Road, Perris, regarding a report of a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located a collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian. Deputies and paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, was cooperative in the investigation, and was later transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made. The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further details are available.
