September 14, 2026 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on September 4, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Yuba City Police Department Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Northfield Drive in Yuba City regarding a reported domestic violence incident.

During the investigation, officers learned that one of the involved parties, 38-year-old Rafaela Martinez of Yuba City, was on searchable probation out of Sacramento County.

Based on Martinez’s probation terms, officers conducted a probation search of her residence and vehicle. During the search, officers located approximately one ounce of cocaine, a Glock firearm magazine, ammunition, codeine, multiple oxycodone pills, ketamine, and $100,572 in cash believed to be proceeds from the sales of narcotics.

As a result of the investigation, Martinez was arrested and booked into the Sutter County Jail on charges related to drug sales, being a felon in possession of ammunition, and being a felon in possession of a firearm magazine.

This incident serves as another example of how proactive investigations and thorough police work can lead to the discovery and removal of illegal narcotics and other prohibited items from our community.
