Fatal Traffic Collision 

October 4, 2026 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday, October 2, 2026, at 1:08 a.m., deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection of Pyrite Street and Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley regarding a report of a traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies located two vehicles with collision damage and four injured subjects. Three subjects were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The fourth subject was transported in critical condition and later pronounced deceased.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The decedent's identity will not be released at this time pending next-of-kin notification. During the investigation, deputies determined alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. The suspect, identified as Alisha Lopez, a 26-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
