Shooting at Large Party Leaves Two People Dead
October 5, 2026 – Northridge, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Robbery-
Homicide Division, Valley Bureau Section is investigating a shooting that left two people dead.
On Friday, October 2, 2026, around 11:05 p.m., LAPD Devonshire Area patrol officers responded to a radio call regarding a “Loud Party” in the 18400 block of Nordhoff Street. Upon arrival, officers observed approximately 100 to 200 people at the location. While officers were contacting the organizer and attempting to shut down the party, they heard several gunshots.
Officers conducted a search of the location and located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds inside the residence.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and rendered medical aid. Despite life-saving efforts, both victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at scene.
The victims were identified as an 18-year-old Black male and a 19-year-old Hispanic female. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of their next of kin.
