November 5, 2026 – Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, the Central Division Deputies responded to a domestic violence incident involving 41-year-old Wang Yu Yang, who assaulted his wife and threatened to shoot her with a handgun.

The incident began earlier that afternoon when Yang bad an argument with his wife, struck her multiple times, then retrieved a handgun and put it against the back of her neck threatening to shoot her, before striking her in the forehead. Fearing for her safety, the victim fled the residence with their children and contacted law enforcement.

Deputies responded to Yang’s residence, established a perimeter, and attempted to contact him. Despite repeated announcements and telephone calls, Yang refused to come outside. Additional resources, including an armored vehicle, K-9 unit, and drones, were requested. After approximately 40 minutes, Yang exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.
