In my opinion the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors are doing an acceptable job in general. However their hiring practices, budgeting priorities, recognizing the importance of fairness in law enforcement pay and accepting the annual Grand Jury reports with a positive attitude is questionable. For instance, the last six years the Board of Supervisors response to the Grand Jury reports leads one to believe that they were basically brushed off as unconcerned.

If the Board of Supervisors would just stop, look and listen to these issues with constructive optimism and make every effort to address these public concerns, it will definitely benefit all of the taxpayers as well as a measurable upgrading of their governing ability for our county. As I have stated before, everybody makes mistakes but creditability is measured by one's ability to admit their mistakes and taking corrective measures.

Lastly there are six rules of successful governing and management: (1) The rule of law, (2) Learn to listen, (3) Being honest, (4) The rule of logic, (5) Morality, (6) Establishing relationship.
