September 26, 2022 - The upcoming school board election gives the Mariposa community an opportunity to take an active role in the education of our youth. There are a few candidates to consider and one of those candidates stands out from the rest. 

Robert Morse would be an incredible asset to our school board! He has decades of experience working with our schools in lots of different roles. He has worked with our youth from preschool aged students to high schoolers. He understands the importance of making sure that every child feels valued. Every child is important. And every child deserves a compassionate and quality education, regardless of their needs or style of learning. 

Bob has shown how dependable he is in making his responsibilities a top priority. As a Sierra Foothill Charter School parent, there has never been a moment when I wondered if the bus would show up on time. I have always had complete trust that my children were safe in his care.

From a community member and a friend’s point of view, Bob has been nothing but helpful. During the Oak fire, when our area was listed under an evacuation warning he reached out to see if he could help us prepare. He drove his truck from Catheys Valley to Midpines, hooked up our trailer and brought it to a safe place. He does not hesitate to step up and help anyone in need. 

I feel confident that he is absolutely the right candidate for the position. Bob is frequently participating in various community events. During this campaign, I know there will be lots of opportunities for folks to meet him and get to know him. I am sure that as the word gets out that we have the chance to elect him to the school board team, there will be tremendous amounts of support. 

Robert Morse has my vote for District 3 and I hope he will have yours too!
