This is a letter of support for Marshall Long. As you may know I ran along side Mr. Long and the other candidates for the 3^rd district seat.  I got to know Mr. Long and the other candidates very well as we were involved in several debates. Marshall Long is the person we should elect to the 3^rd District Board of Supervisors seat, now  held by Janet Bibby who is not seeking re-election. Marshall Long will represent us as fairly and honestly as she has for many years.

One of the many things he will bring to the office is keeping our county beautiful, peaceful and serene as it is today.  Marshall Long is a lifetime resident of Mariposa county and has seen many changes in our county and understands the changes needed to help us grow and not the changes that will bring higher taxes and hurt us. He is not in favor of any changes to the Willimson Act, that helps support our farms and ranchers that are large supporters of our County’s resources, jobs, schools, tax base, and beauty. He will work to bring in business that will allow more jobs in a way our infrastructure can support them. He believes in supporting the Sheriff’s Office to keep our county safe. He wants to see our roads that are in disrepair, repaired. Our schools supported in ways that keep our children with the best education possible, so they can get into college and find the jobs they want.  He will monitor each and every county department head, to see they are doing their jobs efficiently and not spending our tax dollars foolishly. He will work to expand our tourism trade that is the heart of our county’s income today. I could go on and on with the great things Mr. Long will work to bring to our county.  The greatest thing I saw in getting to know Mr. Long and the most important for us is, his love for our county, its people and his endless enthusiasm to get things done.  A vote for Marshall Long will be a vote for a hard working, dedicated, honest person who we can count on to do what is right for our county. Lets all make the right choice Novermber 4^th and elect Marshall Long to the 3^rd District Board of Supervisor seat.
